This one is about Charles Rangel, the chairman of the House Ways and Means committee. That committee sets the tax code for the United States.
You would think the people who sit on that committee would have some knowledge of taxes. That would be reasonable, wouldn't it?
In fact, you would think the chairman of that committee would be exceptionally well-versed on the tax code, wouldn't you?
Of course you would. And he is.
So why is he having piles of tax-related and other ethical 'issues':

It's probably because, like so many of our elected officials, he is possessed of an insufferable arrogance, based on the knowledge that so long as he whores and panders for his constituents, he'll do just fine.
